Desolation: Both pages have a grey background, the left side has black flames with white flame outlines over top. In red, the left reads: The searing pain / of the lightless flame. The right continues: consumes your soul / it makes you whole. white candle wax drips down the right side page. a white rectangular border goes around the whole spread.ALT
Buried: both pages are layered, watercolor painted topography maps. only the left side is visible. the first few layers are quite open and varying shades of deep and bright green. the further down the hole you go, the darker the colors get--sandy yellow to brown to black. the second page has a small, white, salt-encrusted book. it is open to its center spread, uneven pink stitching running down the center. in the middle of the page is the word DIG. DIG can also be read in reverse on the backside of the page opposite.ALT
Stranger: a red and white circus tent with four yellow flags and a yellow curtain sits against a bright blue sky, dotted with clouds. on the left side, there is a pink envelope with a small blue pompom. text in the upper left corner reads: Help Nikola prepare for the Unknowing. on the right side, the words Цирк Другого (pro: Tsirk Drugovo; translated: Circus of the Other) are written on the front of the tent in Cyrillic. in a red ringmaster uniform with a black top hat, gloves, and boots that shine in the light, Nikola stands in front of the tent, legs and arms akimbo. every joint is on a brad which is poseable and take-apart-able (the Body Parts go in the pink envelope). Nikola wears a sharp, wide smile, and has two large staring eyes set into a white face, and ringed with dramatic and pointed eyelashes. her face is rather lacking in detail, like a mannequins would be.ALT
Spiral: a blue sky with white clouds and a green field, on the left side is the text: see the door that should not exist. a yellow door in a white frame sits on the right side. it's held open to reveal a cramped, portrait-lined hallway. on the back of the door is the text: see the halls that twist and twist!ALT
Corruption: a pink background with squiggly white worm-like shapes coves the left and right pages. on the left, the text reads: There is a wasps nest in Jane's attic! What do you think is inside? PULL her arm to find out! (the text is black, save for the word PULL, which is yellow, and, admittedly, hard to read). on the right side sits the worm queen herself: Jane Prentiss. she's sat in a way that leaves her red dress pooling about her (not pictured, but her legs would be folded beneath her) her arm is at a right angle and is partially inserted into a glue-and-tracing paper Hive. the arm pivots so you can, indeed, pull it out to see small holes dotting her arm and all the new friends she's made! six small silver worms are scattered across her lap, made out of semi-shiny Chinese cord. Jane's hair is long and black, curtaining around the side of her face and down her back, long and unruly strands tumbling across her lap and floor. She wears the smallest of smiles upon her face, and a single wide eye stares ahead into the Hive. perhaps with excitement.....ALT
flesh: the whole spread is gradient we embroidery floss in red to pale pink, bright pink to white, bright yellow to pale yellow. the yellow curves and cuts through the pinks and reds akin to fat, and the pink and red strands coil and curve like raw meat. the bottom right corner is free of Flesh, colored black, with the words (in white): feel the flesh change.ALT
Slaughter: On a teal background with a white border lies an unconscious Melanie King. She has lighter brown skin, heavy black brows and thick eyelashes, her lips are slightly parted. There is an eyebrow piercing on one brow and a ring thru her septum. Her hair is dark at the roots and a bit behind her ear/by her neck, the rest of her hair is bleached white and lies around her. She wears a yellow shirt and black and white checked trousers, cuffed to reveal yellow socks and sharp-toed black heeled ankle boots. Her shirt says Gh👻st Hunt UK, the NT in Hunt and the K of UK are covered by her hand. Her other arm is down along her side, hand covered by a flap of her trousers that's been cut away above the knee, revealing a bloody incision. A white tab protrudes from the slit. [Not pictured: the tab can be tugged out to reveal a copper painted, blood slick bullet. cool!) Text above Melanie reads: Pull the bullet from Melanie's leg... Texr finishes below her: ...Before she kills the Archivist instead.ALT

40,000 years ago, early humans painted hands on the wall of a cave. This morning, my baby cousin began finger painting. All of recorded history happened between these two paintings of human hands. The Nazca Lines and the Mona Lisa. The first TransAtlantic flight and the first voyage to the Moon. Humanity invented the wheel, the telescope, and the nuclear bomb. We eradicated wild poliovirus types 2 and 3. We discovered radio waves, dinosaurs, and the laws of thermodynamics. Freedom Riders crossed the South. Hippies burned their draft cards. Countless genocides, scientific advancements, migrations, and rebellions. More than a hundred billion humans lived and died between these two paintings—one on a sheet of paper, and one on the inside of a cave. At the dawn of time, ancient humans stretched out their hands. And this morning, a child reached back.

okay so the logo

theres the standard heraldry with the lion and the unicorn, ‘non vacillabimus’ translates to 'we will not falter’

but what im curious about right now are these:

the chevrons (these things; ^) are again heraldry stuff, vaguely represent protection/defense

the other symbols are alchemy symbols

the 🜔 is salt and represents the body

the ☿ is mercury and represents the mind

the 🜍 is sulfur and represents the spirit

in alchemy these three symbols are considered tria prima, the three primes of life

you can see other alchemical symbols in the background of the whole logo as well and it is going to be very interesting to see how/if these elements play into the show

Web: both pages are a rendering of a windows xp screen, the one with the hill and the blue sky. you know the one. anyway, on the left side, there are six icons. from top to bottom: a blue e with a yellow swoosh; internet explorer. a tiny blue and green planet labelled 'photos'. a small white computer monitor, labelled 'comput.'. a green prism labelled Sims. two yellow folders, the top is work, bottoms is misc. the standard blue tool bar with the green Start button runs along the bottom, the icons for a yellow folder and i explorer locked next to the start button. an explorer tab is open in the tool bar, with the text 'The Chelic...' in the center of the left page, one small text box is open, reading 'The story spinner has accepted your submission.
